As a Patriots fan all you have been able to say up to this point in 2024 is : Well that was unfortunate. Sure there is the old , They are Rebuilding or Trust the process adages. Fuk THAT. to this point including last week the Pats have booted, bumbled, fumbled, and handed three winnable games to their opponents. This and the aforementioned excuses being tossed out by the media and to be honest most of you out there. 1-5 is unacceptable. Just like It wasn’t acceptable in 2023 and wasn’t in 1990 or 1972. Have we hit rock bottom with media coverage? As a fan base ? I’m in need of some finger pointing, a bit of fellowship in outrage. I’m in need of a win. Here are my monster keys to Patriots victory.

Limit the Laundry – Last week the Patriots gave up a fifty burger on nine accepted flag, clean it up or pack it in Jarrod.
Win The Turnover Battle – 17 points surrendered last week off turnovers. DO THE MATH
Own Third Down – I’m sorry , COME ON. 3-13 conversions. No it’s no consolation they were 2-2 on 4th
Red Zone – The Texicans were 3-3 in the red-zone last week , again the Pats were inside their opponents 20 : ONCE
Flip the Field – I’m ordering a Barringer jersey
Find your Legs
The Jags are almost a top ten team in stopping the run. They are still giving up more than 113 yards per game. I’m not expecting Rhamondre back for the trip to London, and I don’t think Gibson and Hasty can get the job done on their own. I’m hoping for a call up of Kevin Harris to get the run game going down hill. Either way they need to turn this key and set up play action .
Digs Crossers Seam Routes and High Waters
Cover 2 – Tampa 2 whatever you want to call it this is the bread and butter of the Jags defense. I love facing cover two because I love beating it. How does Drake May and AVP attack this from the air ?
Spread Mesh – Run deep corner routes with the X and Z draw the Jacksonville safeties away from the middle of the field and open up the middle for the rest of the Patriots “weapons” to run crossers and seam routes. And you have Hasty as a Safety Valve. If the pats can get behind the jags corners and under the safeties the offence should cook.
Weakside Floods
Weakside flood 3 receivers flooding the weak side of the field and one stays to the strong side. This could be a game changer for Drake Maye if he can hit the short weak side of the field early. This will open up things for the Z on the strongside for a game breaker.
Smash and Grab
Smash concept is an amazing cover 2 beater, again running the X and Z up at different levels at the Jacksonville corners. Force them to choose between covering the deep ball or underneath levels. This is also the perfect time to get me a wheel route. YAK city .
Pressure up the middle , Disguise Man, and Keep up
The Jags run a ton of Mesh themselves and yes the Pats have been burned in past games this season facing it. Because they didn’t keep up. The pats need to pressure Lawrence up the middle and allow the ends to crash, also man allows them to bring an extra rusher on every play. But this defense can not live on man alone. My only concern is do they have anyone who can recognize the mesh point from the second level. Force The hairball to throw short and to the middle of the field. Keep up , there is no one on Jacksonville who should burn you long. You have the speed.
Thats it my rabid readers, This is it. The Patriots have to have this one. The winnable games on this schedule are dwindling fast. Who wants it more is what this game could come down for.
