Red Sox: Mid-Point of the season

Break Time

So here we sit at the all-star break and all the superstars get a well-deserved break and also a chance to let loose and have some fun and show off their skills worldwide.

What I’m talking about of course is the mid-summer classic in Cleveland at Progressive Field.

Three of our Red Sox are in the game including JD Martinez, Mookie Betts, and a well-deserved nod to Xander Bogaerts who is having a phenomenal season coming off signing his huge contract extension.

The Sox don’t get back to work until Friday when they open up a series at Fenway against the very team that they won their Championship against –  The LA Dodgers.

Only time will tell if all the talk and rumblings come true about getting a starter, cause as it looks now when Nate Eovaldi comes back he’s going to be our shutdown closer. Now this I am completely ok with. The reason I say this is because he was lights out in the playoffs.

So Sox fans, kick back, relax, and enjoy the ALL-STAR break, and then come Friday we’re back to business.

  1. I’m less then excited about Eovaldi in this role. This “closer by committee” does NOT work
