Well Sox fans, who do we all think should be the next Sox Manager now that Cora is out as manager? Cora was fired one day after both AJ Hinch and Jeff Luhnow were suspended for the whole 2020 season. They were then both fired immediately after by Jim Crane, the owner of the Houston Astros.

Cora was not only named in the report, but also tagged as the mastermind behind the whole ordeal. It was being said that Cora was facing a similar punishment from the league. That left the Sox front office between a rock and a hard place as to what to do with Mr. Cora. Well Sox fans got their answer when Sox ownership and Cora decided to “mutually” part ways, citing that in light of the recent report, that a “healthy” relationship between the two could no longer go on.
Now comes the question: who do the Sox tag for their next manager? A familiar name pointed out is Jason Varitek. Another name mentioned is Ron Roenicke.
This leaves a lot of questions that need to be answered by Bloom and O’Hallarhan. And with Spring Training right around the corner, the answers better come quickly. It was mentioned on Zolak & Bertrand about how all this information originally come to the forefront. And it was put out there that maybe recently fired Dave Dombrowski gave the tip, as a little revenge. In my opinion, I don’t think this was the case for one simple reason. That reason that this would come off as childish and petty.
Now in the weeks leading up to spring training, how quickly do the Sox hire a new manager? I think that the search starts immediately. For now all we can do is wait and see who the next man in charge is.
Til then, buckle up.
